Taste of the Junction 

Multicultural Festival Vendor Application 

Unity and solidarity within the community is celebrated during the annual Taste of the Junction Multicultural Festival during Labor Day Weekend.

The outdoor festival includes LIVE music, food trucks, arts, culture, crafts, and a kid fun zone. Crowds gather from West Des Moines and surrounding communities. Descendants of Historic Valley Junction travel from different parts of the country for this annual event.

2pm – 10pm

Historic Valley Junction Music Pavilion

425 Railroad Place, West Des Moines, Iowa

Food Vendors: $175

Arts and Crafts Vendors: $125

The Taste Festival will provide a 10×10 space, 1 table, and 2 chairs for all Arts and Crafts vendors. A 20×20 space will be provided for all food vendors (No table and chair will be provided).

ALL FEES AND COPIES OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS DUE BY JULY 31, 2026

All vendors are responsible for your own gas or electricity. You can bring small generators or propane.

Vendors are required to set up between 10am – 1pm (No cars will be allowed on the street after 1pm).

At the end of the events, all vendors are required to remove all of the trash.

*Arts and Crafts Vendors must stay open until at least 7 pm

*Food Truck Vendors must stay open until 10 pm

Food Vendors MUST provide proof of:

– Current certificate of liability insurance

– Health Inspection Permit (required for all food vendors only)

– Temporary Food Establishment License

By renting a space at the Taste of the Junction Street Festival, all vendors agree not to hold TJSF, its members, staff, or board of directors responsible for damage of any kind. 

Vendors assume all responsibility for the operation of their booth, and any damages or injuries that may occur in that area during normal hours of market operation or from consumption of products or goods. This includes all lawsuits, demands, and claims, including court costs, legal fees, and damages. Vendors are also responsible for any loss or damages TJSF may incur on their behalf, including, but not limited to, court costs and attorney fees. All merchandise will be handled and displayed at the vendor’s risk, and TJSF assumes no responsibility for theft, accident, or natural disaster. 

The undersigned agrees to indemnity and hold any sponsors of the Taste of the Junction, Inc. harmless in regard to all liability for any damages to personal property, for any loss of life, or personal injury or theft of property that may be sustained in connection with this event. I further give approval for the Taste of the Junction, Inc., Taste of the Junction Multicultural Festival to use photographs taken at this event, which might include my work, for publicity purposes.
