Multicultural Festival

August 30, 2025, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Unity and solidarity within the community are celebrated during the annual Taste of the Junction Multicultural Festival during Labor Day weekend.

The origin histories of African Americans, Mexicans, Serbian, and other Europeans in Valley Junction have been curated, recorded, and published at the annual TOTJ Multicultural Festival.

FREE admission. Open to the public. All are welcome.

The Junction Speaks

The Junction Speaks opens the Multicultural Festival weekend. Since 2013, the event has revealed and preserved the rich multicultural oral histories of the families that created a tight-knit community integrated because of humanity, not desegregation legislation. A rich night of storytelling, slideshows, and video presentations are just some of the highlights.

Afternoon Festival

Saturday afternoon, the outdoor fun begins! The people who LIVE, WORK, OR PLAY in Valley Junction unite to celebrate our vibrant community. Authentic cuisine representing the cultural heritage of Valley Junction, kids’ fun zone, arts and crafts, live music in the street, beverage tent, and specialty vendors offer something for everyone.

Live Music

At the Multicultural Festival, music is legendary! Our musicians and band members are a tradition accompanying the speakers in the evening at The Junction Speaks, in the street all day during the Saturday street fair celebration and LIVE ON THE MAIN STAGE on Saturday night!

Regular attendees know the Taste of the Junction Multicultural Festival has become one of the area’s most loved events, attracting people of many cultures from near and far.

Fun for All Ages!

These two are staying in character, but we think there’s a smile about to break out!  The Multicultural Festival is so much fun. It could be face painting, dancing, delicious food choices, a cold beverage, unique shopping, or Live Music on a summer evening. Whatever you like best about the Taste of the Junction Multicultural Festival, we would like to thank our sponsors and the hard work of our executive director, Rachelle Long.

thank you!
